Choosing for the right Carpet

If you are about to purchase a new carpet to furnish your home, you have to consider a lot of things before paying at the counter. The color of the carpet should complement the color of your house. Its texture and design must also be considered to match the whole house or even to match your personality.

You can find two different kinds of carpet in the market today, the loop pile and the cut pile. If you see a small loop that has been pulled twice from the back of the carpet using a yarn, then it is a loop pile. While cut pile is made up of yarns with loop pile cut, but the difference is it is standing up. It has been said that cut pile is more reliable to use than loop pile, because it is more durable than the latter pile.

Cotton Carpet
Saxony, shag, and velvet are some styles that you can see in cut pile. Berber, sisal, and cables are some of the styles that you can see in loop pile. There are a lot of choices, but you have to determine first what you really need before choosing the style that you’re going to purchase.

Another factor that you must consider is the cost of the carpet. If you have a high budget, you can choose wool carpet. It cost way higher than any ordinary carpet, but no one will ever beat the durability of this. You are rest assured that it will last longer than cheap priced carpet in the market. Based on other peoples’ experience, this carpet can even last for about 30 years.

If you think that you can’t afford buying a wool carpet, then you can also consider acrylic carpeting. Acrylic carpet is actually resistant to moist, stains, fading, and mildew. This is also a great choice for high traffic areas.

Now, if you are looking for synthetic fiber made carpet, you can consider nylon carpet. It is also the right choice for high traffic areas. Although it is the best among synthetic fiber made carpet, it is still way cheaper than wool carpet.

If you are really in low budget, try to consider olefin carpet. It is commonly used in indoor and outdoor. The best characteristics of this carpet are it is very strong and easy to clean. But one of the disadvantages of this olefin is it can easily get crushed.

After choosing the best type of carpet that you will buy, the next thing to consider is the color and pattern of the carpet. You have to be aware that light colored carpets will add a positive vibe to your house. And the look of your room will look larger when you put a light colored carpet on it. But the only downside of this is it can easily look dirty.

Do you have kids or pets at home? Then, a dark colored carpet is a great choice for you. This is because it will not show any dirt that your pets or kids will leave to your carpet.

Yet, if you will end up choosing the light colored carpet even if you have pets and kids around, you have to prepare yourself from cleaning your carpet every time you’ll see stains on it.

Here's some list of carpet that you might want to purchase.
